OVERVIEW

Aunties on the Road offers a comprehensive, five-day intensive training focused on the full spectrum of reproductive health and support. This hands-on, interactive program will explore how to support individuals and families through pregnancy, labour, birth, postpartum, breastfeeding, contraception, pregnancy loss, abortion, birth trauma, and obstetric violence. It also addresses the unique experiences of teen and youth pregnancy, LGBTQ2S+ and gender non-conforming identities, and substance use during the reproductive journey.

Rooted in Indigenous ways of knowing, the training includes traditional knowledge sharing through language, medicines, and ceremonial protocols. Participants will learn from an inspiring team of birthworkers, aunties, doulas, traditional knowledge keepers, and community leaders, all coming together to foster culturally grounded, community-centered care.
