If you see value in all people, have a passion for excellence and hope to improve the quality of life for the benefit of individuals, society, the environment and the global community, a Social Service Worker career may be right for you!

The Social Service Worker (SSW) Diploma is a program customized with unique, leading-edge Indigenous learning experiences and environments, delivered in partnership by FNTI and St. Lawrence College. Upon graduating, students receive a Social Service Worker Diploma from St. Lawrence College.

Students will explore Indigenous cultural issues and Indigenous community realities within the context of the human services field. Indigenous world views are examined and presented with knowledge and skills relative to Indigenous cultural, values and practices. Students learn from an Indigenous perspective through field placement and culture camp experience, and focus on personal growth, organization/community development, communications, program  planning skills, interviewing/counselling, family and group work.
