Our Presence

FNTI has been granted international accreditation status from the World Indigenous Nations Higher Education Consortium (WINHEC) at the 2009 conference hosted here at Tyendinaga.

This process was submitted to the Accreditation Working Group at the 2007 WINHEC Annual Meeting.

FNTI is a member of the Aboriginal Institutes Consortium and the National Association of Indigenous Institutes for Higher Learning.

FNTI's Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) initiatives have resulted in an international reputation as a leader in PLA. FNTI has established partnerships with Indigenous groups in Chile, South Africa and Nunavut that directly contribute to capacity building in Indigenous communities.

FNTI will be hosting its 21th Annual PLAR Conference in May 2010.
